6. How many beverages did you have today?
Tea in the morning

7. What color is your hairbrush?
Purple and silver. Very bright and happy looking :)

8. What was the last thing you paid for?
My dinner last night. Ate out for a change.

Home. That's where you always have to get back to, right?

10. What color is your front door?
Off white

11. Where do you keep your change?
Wallet and drawers

12. What’s the weather like today?

Yup. And phrases too. They become catchphrases among my friends soon until I coin something new.

21. Are you a jealous person?

Lol. Patience pays sometimes. I hope the Biometrics still works by then. The fingerprint recognition is a cool feature but they still need to work on it. I heard from a friend his laptop wouldn't recognize his fingerprint anymore! Crazy ! I am not sure if it was a Lenovo though.

Wharton MBA? hmm...thats the real deal...kewl....:)

Aparna Ganguly said...

@kp
Yeah. That's the real deal. Where people get recruited as VPs and are offered a base salary of 40k per month. (Don't even try to think of the annual salary) What a pity it's in Pennsylvania, otherwise I'd have checked out what they feed the students in their cafeteria. Maybe I should content myself with neighboring HBS and Sloan School of Management :D

u r pursuing ur MBA r8??? MIT??

KP said...

"recruited as VPs and are offered a base salary of 40k per month. (Don't even try to think of the annual salary)"

Point taken...my perspective is different...if i am Wharton MBA graduate..i wouldnt work for someone to help them make more money...i`ll start my own company(become Entrepreneur)...I am sure..i have enough "good brain cellS" left to come up something of my own....(this only exist if u arr wharton grad)...:) we`ll let u know nxt yr when join the MBA club(wharton is long shot but Impossible is nothing...or at least worth giving shot)....:D

Aparna Ganguly said...

@sam
If I mentioned Sloan as my neighbor, then it is definitely not MIT. Elementary, my dear Watson. And Process of Elimination (POE -a crucial tool for potential GMAT takers )
Btw, how is it going to help you to know which univ I am in? :D
Since you are so keen - I'm in the University of Massachusetts. You could have easily found that out in my orkut profile or by browsing the names of sites I frequent listed in my blog or even by reading my previous posts. Sorry to keep you waiting. Have a nice day :)

Sam said...

ah well... am working out my apps now... so just asking!! and am not too familiar with teh geaography there... as am concentrating on UK!! :)
btw, GMAT has already been dealt with!!(thank god!!!) :)

Aparna Ganguly said...

@sam
And that my dear friend , is just the beginning of a B school entree :D All the best with your essays and personal interviews then :)

@KP
Tsk ! Tsk ! Not global are we? What about INSEAD, France or LBS, UK? They have a reputation of their own. And you don't need to be an MBA to have an entrepreneurial spirit. Steve Jobs didn't even graduate! You can start right now. And you can trade you security for your freedom.
Also, try drawing a business plan. It's a good exercise. By the time you finish your first draft, you'll realize how far away you are from the market place. And how much more well baked you have to make it for a state agengy/private equity/venture capitalist or even your own university to finance it !

All the best for your GMAT and admissions. Do let me know when you join UPenn. :)

KP said...

hehehe....if i ever make it to Upenn...will certainly let u know...:) u r right we r not global...certainly we r the best...we run the whole world...:)Good point about Steve Jobs .....without a degree he succeded....Trust me some of my close family memeber became entrapenuar(without a degree) after landing in this country in late 70`s...i agree with you..abt degree is not required...but unfortunately time has changed...one certainly requires education to succed in life!

P.S. sorry for making ur blog public discussion page...i just read the tag and read Wharton MBA and thot u r from Wharton...:) Its your space No Offense to u in anyway !!!

Aparna Ganguly said...

@kp
That's not an offense! That's an honor! Btw, someone I know (who is King Midas in his own field ) told me that the first rule of business is to take nothing personally. :D
It's a discussion forum, why else would I make this blog public ? :)

dharmabum said...

# 29 - i like that, i really, really like that.

and i see your no one favourite is karma yoga - that swami...whatever he spoke, he has that thing to lash u like a whip.

Sam said...

oh!! i am working on it.. and trust me its driving me nuts!! absolutely nuts!!! grrr.... why do have to ask such questions??? damn as if I have seen the future!!! for all i knw i might cease to exist 5 yrs from now (i rather make that 50, but then...)... crap!!!

~Lord Anshul said...

hey...i visited my blog after eons...but yes, i'm kid bro of sumit agrawal :)
was he ur batchie ???

Aparna Ganguly said...

@~Lord Anshul
Nope he is senior to me anyways. Was probably in school with someone I know. Met him randomly in orkut way back in 2004. Remember him because Sumit and Arnab saw the salad days of my initial orkutting days.

@sam
You have to bluff convincingly - that's what once a Prof told me about writing essays in high school. But in B-school admissions, you have to believe what you write or they will see through it. They process zillions of applications each year! I know this phase can be frustrating but grab a coffee and get over it. It's more like discovering yourself than anything else :)

Aparna Ganguly said...

@dharmabum
Took a long time for me to realize it too :) But as I mentioned before- the first rule of business- take nothing personally :)

dharmabum said...

oh, i like that rule. but i don't do much business. my rule is the bum rule - take nothing. period.

Sam said...

exactly... i think i have discovered myself a 100 times over.. and everytime hated the recent discovery more than teh previous one.. anywyz, would be done by them in about 2 weeks time... and den start scooting them off to their destinations!! phew.. it's such a bloody job!!
